After last years amazing concert with Hauschka and Icelandic post-rockers múm we’re returning to the  Gewandhaus in Leipzig for our second collaboration with the Mitteldeutscher Rundfunk the MDR Symphonic Orchestra and its conductor Kristjan Järvi. This time we’re proud to bring you the world premiere of Francesco Tristano’s first compositon for full orchestra a free piano concerto entitled: Island Nation. The long-time BR favorite and overall genius who has worked in the past with techno luminaries like Carl Craig (watch our recording here: https://boilerroom.tv/recording/carl-craig-francesco-tristano/) and Moritz von Oswald will show once again why he is one of the most promising talents in contemporary music. The MDR Symphonic Orchestra will also be joined by Stefano Bollani, who’s regarded as one of the world’s leading jazz pianists and improvisers, for a very special take on Poulenc’s „Concert champêtre“ and will perform Hector Berlioz’ „Le Carnaval romain“ and Rerspighi’s „Pini di Roma“.
